Hello, welcome to the part 2 of Pokemon Card Game Online beginner’s tutorial. Last time we mentioned the first goal for a beginner is to save 500 coins. Then buy the Charizard theme deck. Except Charizard’s, I will introduce which theme decks are worth buying. This is the page with all theme decks. I will say the first eight theme decks are worth buying: the top six decks, Storm Caller and Blazing Volcano. If I am asked to pick four to finish the Trainer Challenge, I’ll pick Dragonite, Necrozma, Mewtwo and Charizard theme decks. Notice that you can buy multiple copies of the same theme deck. Say you can buy 7 copies of Charizard theme deck. I will say at most 2 copies for each theme deck are enough. When you buy the first Charizard deck, the system opens it for you. If you later buy another copy of the Charizard deck, you need to open it yourself to view the cards. To open it, click “Cards” and then “Collection”. Then choose “Packs”, and here you will see your Charizard theme deck. Click the theme deck and the button “Open Pack” to view the cards inside. Why would I pick the previous mentioned four theme decks? Because some cards inside them are helpful for you to build your own decks. Indeed, not only them, the eight theme decks I mentioned are useful. I personally feel the four theme decks I mentioned are the best. This is a brief introduction to theme decks. Next I would like to share how to earn coins. Last time I mentioned you can earn coins by defeating the 36 AI players in Trainer Challenge. There are indeed three more ways. Last time we also mentioned Daily Awards is one way. Other than that there are three ways. First way is going to “Versus”. “Versus” mode is about competing with a real player, 1 on 1. You can select “Theme” here. You can select one of your theme decks say Charizard. Pressing “Play!”, system will assign a real player to battle with you. In the environment of theme decks, your opponents all use theme decks. Thus it is fair. Notice all theme decks cannot be modified, as they are designed by the official authority. It seems to be fair if everyone uses an unamendable deck. At bottom there are two “Ladders”. Click the eye icon to view the first ladder. This ladder is called “Daily Versus Rewards”. Say, if you get the first win you will get a Mystery Box. If you get the second win you get another Mystery Box. A third win to get 10 coins, and so on. If you get 11 wins in 24 hours, at the end you get 1 tournament ticket, 5 Mystery Boxes and 160 coins. This ladder is reset at UTC 0 am daily. Let’s say if you only get 2 wins today, after reset, you need to start from the first win. It is not worth getting 12 or more wins since the prize is barely 5 coins per win. The second ladder is called “Versus Rewards”. Today this ladder was just reset. This ladder is reset every 3 weeks. See we still have 20 days 19 hours to play before reset. This ladder has a score starting at 0. I haven’t started so I now have 0 score. You get 10 points for one win. Now if you win, you get 25 coins. If you get 2 wins consecutively, you get 10 points for first win and 20 points for second win. If you get 3 or more wins consecutively, you get 10 points for first win, 20 points for second, 30 points for third or more. Score gets accumulated. If you have 10 points you get 25 coins. If you have 30 points you get another 50 coins. Now, if you get 2 wins consecutively, your score is 30 and you get 25 + 50=75 coins. You get an “uncommon chest” for 50 points, and so on. The max score is 2000 points. If you get 2000 points in 3 weeks, your awards include many coins, tournament tickets, uncommon chests, booster packs, GX Pokemons etc. This is also an uncommon chest. Also, a Full Art Supporter, say, “Mars” for this ladder. If you keep using your theme decks to complete both ladders, then you earn a lot of coins. Your coins grow faster than only playing the Trainer Challenge. Thus you may quickly buy four theme decks to complete the challenge. Next way to earn coins is to select “Events” here to play a tournament. Select “Theme: 4 Ticket” and click “Join Now!”. You need to select which theme deck you want to play. This is an 8-person elimination match. Here you can view the prizes. If you get 1st to 4th place you are awarded coins and booster packs. If you are at 5th to 8th place you get an uncommon chest. While I will discuss booster packs next time, notice that please avoid opening the packs and uncommon chests you earn from tournaments. I will tell you why not to open them next time. Yet feel free to open the packs you get from Trainer Challenge or Versus. You can view your packs at Cards ->Collection ->Packs. Click the pack and open by clicking “Open Pack”. Feel free to join tournaments when you are familiar enough with your theme deck. I feel many participants will just use the Charizard theme deck. At the end you see Charizard vs Charizard. Last way to earn coins is from “Challenges”. Profile ->Challenges. Every player has a level. Min level is 0, max is 30. Beginner is 0, I am 30. At UTC 0 am, system assigns a new challenge to you. There are three types of challenges. Challenge of 1 XP is about dealing enough damage by a particular type of Pokemons. Challenge of 2 XP is about evolving a number of Pokemons of a certain type. Challenge of 3 XP is to defeat a certain number of Pokemons via Pokemons of a certain type. You earn coins after finishing a 1 XP challenge or a 2 XP challenge. You get a booster pack when you finish a 3 XP challenge. Your level rises once you complete the challenges and gain more XPs. Challenges get harder: at Level 0 you only need defeat a smaller number of Pokemons for 3 XP challenges. 16 Pokemons is too much for you. Next time I may share the reason for getting a higher level. Indeed this is the end of the tutorial today. I would like the viewers to comment below, if you want me to teach how to build your own deck, and how to operate it. If you want, feel free to request in the comment. If no one made such request, I believe the next video will be the last one for this game. Next time I will discuss how to use the Trade system of this game, and give an introduction about booster packs. Thank you for watching, see you next time!
